Tricentennial Liaison
Natchez Tricentennial Commission
Natchez, Mississippi
Nov 2014 - Jan 2017
I served as second-in-command for organizing the Natchez Tricentennial, a yearlong celebration of the 300th anniversary of the City of Natchez, the oldest continuous settlement along the Mississippi River. The position involved managing the day-to-day operations of the office along with detailed planning and coordination with federal, state, county, and city officials. The Director and I worked closely to gain city, state, and corporate financial support for program development and marketing. This included oversight of five volunteer committees to create a year’s worth of events that commemorated the past, celebrated the present, and helped create a better future in Natchez.
